Tough Day Today

I had a rough day today. I got really down on myself and sort of have up... This is too hard, this is hopeless. I have no patience. I noticed I am an all or nothing kind of person. In the past I have failed from the mentality of well i already screwed up today so why not just say F it for the rest of the day. It that mentality costs me sooo many calories consumed. Tomorrow is a new day and a fresh start.

The First Hurdle

Today I experienced my first hurdle...on Wednesday I work from home 12-8:30pm.  This is the forth week that I have worked from home.  I usually sleep in until 8am on Wednesday and did the same thing today.  I woke up in a rush when I forgot I also had to get to the DMV this morning to get my car inspected.  Once I got there I discovered I have no idea where my registration is.  Lovely :).  I proceeded to then wait in line for a duplicate registration and then go back to the inspection station.

I then ran to the mall to get a protective case and screen for my new Droid Razr...the thing is so light and thin I feel like I could break it in half.  You can note my new case and phone in the pic bellow wrapping up yesterday.  So the lesson learned is I need to be more prepared... failure to plan is planning to fail.

Tomorrow I am going to show you guys what I am eating while following my Jamie Eason's LiveFit Plan.  I have customized it to what I like otherwise there is no way you would keep me on it.

To wrap up yesterday, I met my calories burned goal!! Yay!  It is a little hard to see but my goal was to burn 2,468 calories for the day and I beat it by 18 calories.  Hey it's not huge but I will take what I can get.


I have to work still for a couple more hours but hopefully I can get a walk/run in to make my calorie burned goal for today.  Wish me luck!

Off to a Good Start Today

I made it to the gym this morning.  Today was back and biceps.  The plan I am following really encourages lifting and to prove its importance you actually don't do any cardio until a little later.  Did you know a pound of fat at rest burns 2 calories per day compared to a pound of muscle at rest burns 6.  By gaining muscle you burn more calories all day without any extra work.

So to wrap up yesterday I just missed my calorie burned goal by 171 calories...Booo! The bodybugg looks at how much I weigh, my goal weight and how fast I want to lose weight.  It then calculates how many calories I need to eat and burn to reach it in that timeline.  One pound equals 3,500 calories.  I am eating lol just having issues with logging food.  I believe I stayed within my calories consumed plus or minus some salad dressing I couldn't find the calories for.

Start Date

Today begins my 40 pound weight loss.  OMG to even write that I am so ashamed.  I have a plan...I am following Jamie Eason's Livefit program.  I am prepared...I have my bodybugg locked and loaded to count ever calorie I have burned and consumed.  And now I have the support....you guys.  I am posting this on my blog and to my Facebook.  I have gotten rid of as many of the "haters" I can think of that I am FB friends with and those of you who are left will get to keep me accountable.  I know you are so pumped and psyched. 

So here you can cheer me on with encouragement, slap my hand when I go off course, make fun of me when I make dumb moves and give it to me straight when I need to just shut up and suck it up.  Of course please have this all be constructive. 

I can't hide anymore from my friends and family.  It's like I think if maybe I don't hang out with you that often or you don't see me then it won't be real that I am 40 pounds over weight.  Huh?  that makes sense right?

Let the challenge begin.
